1st half

The game was kicked-off by Coalpit Heath. Good early pressure by Fry’s with some nice little interchanges of passes between defence and midfield. Coalpit Heath made a good run down the wing and a well timed last ditch tackle by Harry Clark stopped them in their tracks. We now started to take control in the game but just couldn’t find the goal we deserved.

Jacob makes one of his trademark runs and hits a goal bound shot which shaved the post from about 20 yards. In a good passing move by us Eli makes an excellent strong run down the line and his cross is picked up by Owen who finds the bottom corner of the net to make it 1-0. We continue to push forward looking for more goals but our passing game that had been so good in recent weeks was letting us down. Half-time arrived with no more goals so during half-time talk I instructed the boys to get back to their passing game as it was more important than the score line.

2nd half

We started off well with a lot of possession and we were now starting to move the ball about well which in turn created chances for us to score more goals. Harry Clark is now starting to pass the ball out of defence and his pass finds Eli who beats his marker to fire the ball past the keeper to make it 2-0. We are now opening up Coalpit Heath on a regular basis but can’t manage to convert our chances. Owen is having a good game in midfield and his run and pass sets up George who unleashes a screamer that the keeper couldn’t hold to make it 3-0 to us. We played some nice football in the second half and the game finished 3-0 to us.

M.O.M: OWEN SKINNER Who today showed me a willingness to work for the team and he also scored a quality first goal. He now has his engine back.

1ST half

The game is kicked-off by Coalpit Heath and the boys seem in a hurry to get possession of the ball hunting down their players and winning the ball back. Straight away we start playing a passing game of football which is impressive to watch at any standard. After five minutes of pure passing football man of the moment Kaka scores to make it 1-0 to us and with his new Klinsman style celebration freshly learnt at training ,wheels around to get ready to go after the ball again. The games seems to be only going one way with Rhys and Josh Seeley dealing with all their attacks. Matthew makes a good run and finishes coolly to make it 2-0. At this stage we had only been playing for about 8 minutes and the boys didn’t want to let up with Dan Bowden making it 3-0 after a good run and cross by Callum. A rare attack by Coalpit Heath is dealt with by Rhys who looks like he has been eating to many e numbers and is now everywhere winning tackles. Another good run down the wing by Josh James results in Dan Bowden scoring to make it 4-0. Good link up play by Matthew and Dan Bowden sets Kaka free to run in on the keeper to make it 5-0. Matthew then goes on a run down the wing and cuts inside the defender to fire past the keeper to make it 6-0. Callum just fails to score with a good long range effort but makes up for it with a goal on the next attack to put us 7-0 up. The boys are now playing at their best and I don’t even have to speak or talk to them as the captain is bossing them around. Kaka goes on one of his bullish runs through the middle of the pitch and there is no stopping him as he slots it past the keeper to make it 8-0. At half-time during the team talk I just tell the boys to keep the passing going and enjoy the second half.

2nd half

Coalpit Heath put the boys under some good early pressure which the boys dealt with well and then started to take control of the game again. With Kaka being instrumental in midfield and his vision and range of passing he sets Dan Bowden up to make it 9-0. At this stage of the game Ellis is forced into a good save after a well worked move by Coalpit Heath. He holds on well and finds Josh James on the wing with his kick who in turn shifts the ball on to Josh Seeley. Josh goes on a solo run and beats two defenders but fires just wide of goal. Kaka who by now has dropped into defence for a rest picks the ball up in his own box and sets off towards their goal and some how makes it into their box . With nice foot work he slots it past the keeper to make it 10-0 to us, which inspires Matthew to get his hat-trick and make it 11-0. The boys are now finding each other with some lovely passes and one results in Dan Bowden scoring to make it 12-0 to us. To Coalpit Heath’s credit every one of their boys deserved a mention as not one of their heads dropped and they kept coming at us until the end.

M.O.M: DAN PAYNE(KAKA) Who once again led the team and scored a magical goal to cap a fine display.
